ISRO Scientist/Engineers Recruitment 2026 Required Educational Qualification:
Candidates should have qualified BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10.
Electronics:
BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Electronics & Communication Engineering with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10.
Mechanical:
BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10.
Computer Science:
BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science Engineering with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10.

Age Limit for ISRO Scientist/Engineer Jobs 2026:
As on 16-09-2026, the candidate’s maximum age limit is: 28 years
Age relaxation is applicable to eligible Central Government civilian employees, Ex-servicemen and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) as per Government of India orders.
Application Fee for ISRO Scientist/Engineer Recruitment 2026:
Candidates have to pay:

Thus, candidates initially have to pay ₹1,000/- through the online payment system.
The ₹250 application fee is non-refundable. The ₹750 processing fee is refunded according to the notification to candidates who appear in the Written Test/CBT, subject to the applicable rules. Women, SC/ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen candidates are eligible for exemption from payment of the application fee, with the processing-fee refund rules specified in the notification.
The fee can be paid online through the Bharatkosh e-Payment gateway using Internet Banking, UPI or domestic Debit Cards. The last date for fee payment is 16-09-2026.
Selection Process for ISRO Scientist/Engineer Jobs 2026:
Selection for this ISRO Scientist/Engineer recruitment will be based on:
- Written Test / CBT
- Interview
Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on their performance in the written test in a 1:5 ratio, with an aggregate minimum of 10 candidates.
Important: The current 2026 notification does not use the old GATE-score screening method mentioned in your previous article. The current notification specifies a written test/CBT followed by interview.
For the final panel, 50% weightage will be given to Written Test marks and 50% to Interview marks.
Exam Pattern for ISRO Scientist/Engineer Recruitment 2026:
The Written Test/CBT will consist of 100 marks.
Part A – Area/Discipline Specific
- 80 MCQ questions

Part B – Aptitude/Ability Test

For final panel generation:
