Engineer Trainee Vacancy 2026: Miniratna Institute in Dehradun,
Uttarakhand. Tehri Hydro Development Corporation India Limited (THDCIL) has
released a notification for the recruitment of Junior Engineer Trainee posts in
projects running in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand State. Total 181 JET
vacancies in THDC Recruitment 2026. The candidates will be selected on the
basis of an online test. The test is being conducted by THDCIL in collaboration
with the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC). Last date to apply

Candidates should have passed three years full-time regular diploma/
lateral entry diploma in the relevant discipline with 65% marks.
SC/ST/PWBD/Ex-Servicemen/Departmental candidates should have passed diploma.
THDCIL Junior Engineer Trainee Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be done on the basis of
computer based written test and personal interview.
The final selection will be done on the basis of document
verification and medical examination for the candidates who qualify in the
written test and interaction. There will be no relaxation in medical
examination rules for special categories. Full details can be found in the

Age limits:
The maximum age as on 07.06.2025 is 27 years. Candidates
belonging to special categories will be exempted.
THDCIL Junior Engineer Trainee Exam Pattern:
The question paper will be in English and Hindi languages.
The duration of the test is 3 hours. There will be 200 marks for 200 questions.
The question paper consists of 3 parts.
Part-I consists of 140 multiple-choice questions related to
civil/electrical/mechanical engineering sections. Part-II consists of 30
questions related to General Awareness and Part-2 will have 30 multiple choice
questions related to reasoning.
One mark for each question. There will be negative marking.
For every wrong answer, 0.30 marks will be deducted. The candidates who qualify
will be selected for interaction/viva.
Things to watch out for..
Candidates must register their name with the Employment
Exchange.
Candidates who do not have a full-time regular diploma are
not eligible to apply.
An engineering diploma done in correspondence/distance mode
will not be considered.
Pay Scale:
Selected candidates will be placed at minimum basic pay of
Rs. 29,200 in the pay scale of Rs. 29,200 -3%-1,19,000 (IDA) during the period
of training as Junior Engineer Trainee.
Application Fee:
The application fee of Rs 600 has to be paid online. There
is no fee for SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Servicemen/Departmental candidates.
