Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Veterinary Assistant Surgeon: Candidates must possess a B.V.Sc & AH degree from a recognized institution.
- Must have registerd with Veterinary Council of India.
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 35 years as of 01-01-2025.
- Age relaxations are applicable for SC/ST/BC candidates.

The minimum physical standards for candidates across all categories are as follows:

Physical Events Tests Details:
The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for the Veterinary Assistant Surgeon posts includes the following events:
For Male Candidates
- Race (100 Meters): Must be completed within 16 seconds.
- Race (800 Meters): Must be completed within 3 minutes 45 seconds.
- Long Jump: Minimum distance of 3.5 meters (3 chances allowed).
- Shot Put: Minimum distance of 4.5 meters with a 7.26 kg shot.
For Female Candidates
- Race (100 Meters): Must be completed within 18 seconds.
- Race (800 Meters): Must be completed within 4 minutes 45 seconds.
- Long Jump: Minimum distance of 3 meters (3 chances allowed).
