For Constable Driver, Veterinary, and Nursing Orderly age limits are 21-27 Years.

For Constable Carpenter age limits are 21-25 years

For SC/ST 5 years, For OBC and Ex-Serviceman 5 years of age relaxation is given.

Educational Qualifications for SSB Constable Recruitment 2026:

For Constable Driver -Matriculation with valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License.

For Constable Veterinary post-10th or matriculation pass and one year experience is required.

For Constable Carpenter, Blacksmith, Painter-10th pass with 2 years trade experience or ITI qualification in relevant trade. Must qualify trade test

For Constables (Washerman, Barber, Safaiwala, Tailor, Gardner, Cobbler, Cook & Water Carrier) posts 10th pass with ITI or relevant trade experience or 2 years required. 

Pay Scale for Tradesman Constable:

Pay Scale Rs.21700 to 69100/-

Selection Process for SSB Tradesman Constable Recruitment 2026:

Selection for this SSB Tradesman Constable will be held in different stages.

Stage 1-Physical Standards Tests

Stage 2-Written Exam

Stage 3-Documentation and Skill Test

Stage 4-Documents Verification

1. Physical Standard Test

For Driver Height-170 Cms, Chest 80-80 cms.

For all other posts Height-167.5 Cms, Chest 78-83 cms.

For Hill State candidates there is variation in Height and Chest.

2. Physical Efficiency Test

4.8 Km Race to be completed in 24 Minutes.

2.4 Km Race to be completed in 18 Minutes

3. Trade Test

The candidates who qualified PST and PET will be put through the respective Trade Test. Trade tests only for qualification only merit may not be considered.

4. Written Test Pattern:

SSB Tradesman Constable Written Test will be conducted for 100 marks. It is multiple choice objective type exam. Written test will be conducted for 2 hours duration.

Syllabus for SSB Tradesman Constable Exam:

1. General Awareness/ General Knowledge
2. Knowledge of elementary mathematics
3. Analytical aptitude and ability to deserve the distinguish patterns
4. Basic knowledge of Hindi/English

Exam paper will be in Hindi and English

Qualifying marks 50 % for General 45 % for SC/ST/OBC
