The Selection test will consist of a written test of objective type(OMR based) on English Language Proficiency (50 marks) andOf Language of the State of Assam (Assamese) (20 marks)of 11/2 hour duration. Candidates either equal to 15 times the number of vacancies(1: 15) or those securing 30% and above marks in the EnglishLanguage segment, to be decided by the High Court at anappropriate time, shall be called for Stenography test, The Assamese Language segment willbe of qualifying nature and candidates securing at least 40% marks in theAssamese Language segment shall be treated as qualified. |

Candidate equal to 3 times of the number of vacancies (1:3) inorder of merit in the Stenography Test will be called for viva-voce. The final merit position will be determined on the basis of thetotal marks obtained in the Stenography Test and Viva-voce. |
Note: In case of candidates obtaining equal marks (in the stenography test and viva-voce), onewho obtains more marks in the Stenography test will be given preference. Where the marksobtained by such candidates in the Stenography test are also same, the candidate who is senior inage will be given preference,
The Gauhati High Court reserves the right to fix/alter the cut off marks in the Written Testand Stenography Test.

For Stenographer Grade II Rs.22000-87000 with GP of Rs.9100/-
For Stenographer Grade III, Jr Administrative Asst, Library Assistant Jobs Rs.14000-49000 with GP of 7000/-
For Attender, Cook, Duftry jobs Rs.12000-Rs.37500/- with GP of Rs.3900/-
