TG 10th Exams 6 papers only:

The government issued a GO 33 in 2026 to bring in
several changes in the examinations for classes 9 and 10. As announced earlier, the exams will have six papers instead of
11. The same is applicable for SA-1 and SA-2 for class IX and SA-1 for class 10
and final exams. (This year, the SA-1 exams for classes 9 and 10 have already
been completed.)

Current Exam Pattern (2025–25):

  • Formative Assessments (FAs): There are four FAs, each contributing 20 marks, totaling 80 marks. These assessments evaluate students’ performance through various activities and assignments conducted during the academic year.

  • Summative Assessments (SAs): Each subject has a final examination carrying 80 marks. Subjects like Science are divided into two parts: Physical Science and Biological Science, each allocated 40 marks. The combined score from FAs and SAs determines the student’s final grade in each subject.

Upcoming Changes (Effective from 2026–26):

  • Internal Assessments: The internal assessment component of 20 marks will be removed.

  • Final Examinations: Each subject will have a single final examination carrying 100 marks. This change aims to streamline the evaluation process and place greater emphasis on the final examination performance.

Separate Question Papers for TG 10th Science Subjects:

The science question paper consists of two parts. The first
is physics. The second is biology. 40 marks for each part. Separate question
papers and answer sheets will be given. Physics should be written in one answer
sheet and biology in another answer sheet. After an hour and a half of the
first physics exam, Biology question paper will be given.

20 minutes additional time is given to take answer sheets
after the first part of exam.

Telangana 10th Class Exam Pattern:

In class 10 exam, there will be essay questions for 30
marks in the 80-mark question paper this year. .. Six
questions are given. Each question consists of two questions a or b. This is
called internal choice. You have to write the answer for any one question. This
means that there is almost no choice in the question paper. Experts say that it
is not possible to write answers unless you have read every lesson. Earlier,
the multiple-option questions were for 10 marks for both the papers combined.
This time, they have been increased to 20 marks and the class 10 sample
question papers were released on Wednesday.

38 Short/Essay Questions and 20 Multiple Choice Questions

The question paper will be part-A and B. There will be a
total of 38 questions. There are three sections in Part A. They are short
answer questions, short questions and essay questions will be given for 60
marks. Part-B consists of multiple optional questions. There will be 20
questions of one mark each.
