JEE Main 2026 in April – Exam Schedule Released
New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the final phase schedule for JEE Main 2026. Earlier, NTA had indicated that the exams would take place between April 1 and 8. Now, the detailed dates for Paper-1 and Paper-2 have been finalized.
JEE Main 2026 Paper-1 Exam Schedule
Paper-1, conducted for BTech admissions, will be held in nine sessions over five days. The online exam will take place in two shifts on:
- April 2, 3, 4, 7 – Morning session: 9 AM – 12 PM, Afternoon session: 3 PM – 6 PM
- April 8 – Only afternoon session (3 PM – 6 PM)
This means JEE Main Paper-1 will be conducted in nine rounds in total.
JEE Main 2026 Paper-2 Exam Schedule
Paper-2A (for B.Arch admissions) and Paper-2B (for B.Planning admissions) will be held on April 9 in a single morning session from 9 AM – 12 PM.
JEE Main 2026 Result Announcement
- The Paper-1 results will be declared by April 17.
- Candidates’ best scores from both exam rounds will be considered for national ranking.
JEE Main 2026 Participation
- In the first phase of JEE Main 2026, 12.58 lakh candidates appeared nationwide.
- From Telugu states, approximately 1.60 lakh students took the exam.
