Haryana Boiler Operation Engineers & Boiler Attendants Examination 2026 notification has been officially released by the Chairman, Committee of Examiners, Haryana, Chandigarh, Department of Industries & Commerce. Applications are invited for Boiler Operation Engineer (BOE), First Class Boiler Attendant, and Second Class Boiler Attendant examinations for the year 2026.

Eligible candidates can apply online from 01 December 2026, and the examinations will be conducted as per the Boiler Operation Engineers’ Rules, 2026 and Boiler Attendants’ Rules, 2026. The last date to apply online is 05 January 2026, and the last date for receipt of physical applications is 15 January 2026.

Boiler Operation Engineer (BOE)

Age Limit

• Must have completed 23½ years as on 05-01-2026

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in:

  • Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical / Power / Production / Metallurgical / Instrumentation Engineering

  • From a recognized university or institution

Experience Requirement

• Degree holders: Minimum 2 years

• Diploma holders: Minimum 5 years

• Experience must be in operation and/or maintenance of:

  • A boiler with ≥1000 sq. meters heating surface, OR

  • A battery of boilers with ≥1000 sq. meters (including at least one boiler of ≥500 sq. meters)

Special Provision (NPTI)

• PG Diploma in Power Plant Engineering (NPTI): 1 year experience

• Post Diploma in Power Plant Engineering (NPTI): 4 years experience

First Class Boiler Attendant

Age Limit

• Must have completed 22 years as on 05-01-2026

Qualification & Experience (Any one condition)

• Holds Second Class Boiler Attendant Certificate with 2 years experience as sole charge on boiler (≥50 sq. meters), OR

• Completed 3-year training (including 1 year apprenticeship) + 1 year sole charge experience, OR

• Worked 2 years as Fireman / Assistant Fireman under a First Class Boiler Attendant on boiler (≥50 sq. meters)

Second Class Boiler Attendant

Age Limit

• Must have completed 20 years as on 05-01-2026

Qualification & Experience

• Passed Matriculation (10th class) or equivalent, AND

• Any one of the following:

  • 2 years as Fireman / Operator / Pump Man / Water Man / Assistant Fireman on steam boiler, OR

  • 3 years as fitter in boiler manufacturing/erection/repair (including 1 year as Assistant Fireman), OR

  • 2 years on small industrial boilers (for ITI certificate holders)
