TSDSC TRT Exam Postponed: The Telangana Teacher Recruitment
Examination (DSC) has been postponed. The decision was announced by the school
education department ahead of the Telangana assembly elections in November. The
teachers recruitment test (TRT) exam will be conducted from November 20 to 30
to fill up a total of 5089 teacher vacancies. However, director of school
education Sri Devasena announced that the TRT exams will be postponed in view
of the polling on November 30. The new dates will be announced soon. Recently,
the TGPSC had also rescheduled the Group-II exams.
Telangana TRT Exam will be conducted in February 2026
It has already been decided to conduct TRT in online mode.
The application process, which started from September 20, will continue till
October 21. It is estimated that 2-2.5 lakh people will be competing. TCS ION
says if the exams are not conducted in November, the slots would not be
available again till February 2026. The education department felt that the
process of recruitment of teachers would not be completed by the time schools
reopened after the summer vacations if it is held in February 2026. As in the
past, the exams will be conducted in November without giving a four-month
deadline from the date of commencement of the application process. However, now
that it has been postponed due to the elections, the exams will be held again
in February 2026.
