SSC CGL Examination Tier I and Tier II Exam Pattern and Syllabus-Exam dates -2021
SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2021 pattern and Syllabus: The Combined Graduation level test will be conducted in three stages those are Tier1, Tier 2 and Tier 3. Those who are qualified Tier 1 they are eligible to write the Tier 2 exam. Those who cleared Tier 2 they are called for the Tier 3 exam. What is this tier 3 SSC CGL Exam? don’t worry no confusion SSC has been changed exam pattern for SSC CGL 2021 vide notification 2021 which released on 29-12-2021 And there is no interview for SSC CGL posts as per government instructions. Tier 1 and Tier 2 both the exams are objective type. Tier-1 exam will be conducted for 200 marks (100 questions) given time is 75 Minutes. The paper consists of four sections each section carries 25 questions with 50 marks.

- Paper-1 contains quantitative aptitude, mathematics with 100 questions for 200 marks.
- Paper-2 also for 200 marks having 100 questions from English knowledge, comprehension.
- Those who are applied for the Compiler, Statistical Officer they have to write the paper-3 also. In paper-3 question will be given from statistics with 200 marks contains 100 questions.
- Paper 4 for the Assistant Audit Officer consists of the subject General Studies of Finance and Economics for 200 marks with two hours duration.
Those who are clears the Tier-1, Tier-2 and Tier-3 based on merit they will be allocated to their respective posts. Based on the merit only final list will be prepared.
Note: Exam Date for SSC CGL is changed due to large number of applications. Tier 1 exam will be conducted on from 29-05-2021 to 07-06-2021.

Paper-II : English Language & Comprehension Tier II SSC CGL Exam Syllabus:
Questions in this components will be designed to test the candidate’s understanding and knowledge of English Language and will be based on spot the error, fill in the blanks, synonyms, antonyms, spelling/detecting mis-speltwords, idioms & phrases, one word substitution, improvement of sentences, active/passive voice of verbs, conversion into direct/indirect narration, shuffling of sentence parts, shuffling of sentences in a passage, cloze passage & comprehension passage.
Paper-III Tier II SSC CGL Exam Syllabus: Statistics
Collection Classification and Presentation of Statistical Data – Primary and Secondary data, Methods of data collection; Tabulation of data; Graphs and charts; Frequency distributions; Diagrammatic presentation of frequency distributions.
Correlation and Regression – Scatter diagram; simple correlation coefficient; simple regression lines; Spearman’s rank correlation; Measures of association of attributes; Multiple regression; Multiple and partial correlation (For three variables only).
Probability Theory – Meaning of probability; Different definitions of probability; Conditional probability; Compound probability; Independent events; Bayes’ theorem.
Random Variable and Probability Distributions –Random variable; Probability functions; Expectation and Variance of a random variable; Higher moments of a random variable; Binomial , Poisson, Normal and Exponential distributions; Joint distribution of two random variable (discrete).
Sampling Theory – Concept of population and sample; Parameter and statistic, Sampling and non-sampling errors; Probability and non-probability sampling techniques (simple random sampling, stratified sampling, multistage sampling, multiphase sampling, cluster sampling, systematic sampling, purposive sampling, convenience sampling and quota sampling); Sampling distribution(statement only); Sample size decisions.
Statistical Inference – Point estimation and interval estimation, Properties of a good estimator, Methods of estimation (Moments method, Maximum likelihood method, Least squares method), Testing of hypothesis, Basic concept of testing, Small sample and large sample tests, Tests based on Z, t, Chi-square and F statistic, Confidence intervals.
Analysis of Variance – Analysis of one-way classified data and two-way classified data. Time Series Analysis – Components of time series, Determinations of trend component by different methods, Measurement of seasonal variation by different methods.
Index Numbers – Meaning of Index Numbers, Problems in the construction of index numbers, Types of index number, Different formulae, Base shifting and splicing of index numbers, Cost of living Index Numbers, Uses of Index Numbers.
Theory of Demand and Supply-Meaning and determinants of demand, Law of demand and Elasticity of demand, Price, income and cross elasticity; Theory of consumer’s behaviour-Marshallian approach and Indifference curve approach, Meaning and determinants of supply, Law of supply and Elasticity of Supply.
Theory of Production and cost-Meaning and Factors of production; Laws of production- Law of variable proportions and Laws of returns to scale.
Forms of Market and price determination in different markets-Various forms of markets-Perfect Competition, Monopoly, Monopolistic Competition and Oligopoly ad Price determination in these markets
Indian Economy-Nature of the Indian Economy Role of different sectors-Role of Agriculture,

SSC CGL Tier 3 Examination Pattern and Syllabus
SSC CGL Tier 3 Exam Pattern:
Pattern of Tier 3 will be Descriptive type and consists of 100 marks with 60 minutes duration.
Descriptive Paper in English/Hindi (writing of Essay/Precis/Letter /Application Writing etc.
SSC recently changed exam pattern for CGL 2021. As per new changes SSC introduced a new pattern for CGL 2021. That is Tier 1 exam is reduced to 100 question with 75 minutes and consists of 200 marks.
Tier II Examination no changes.
But new stage of SSC CGL Tier 3 has been introduced.
