Punjab State Teachers Eligibility Test (PSTET) 2026 Primary Stage and Elementary Stage Teachers Exam Notification

PSTET Exam 2026 Elementary and Primary Teachers Recruitment Notification:The Government of Punjab, Department of School Education is released notification to conduct the Teachers Eligibility Test under the guidelines SCERT for the Elementary and Primary Stage teachers.  This Punjab PSTET exam will be conducted in two papers. Paper I for the candidates belongs to the teachers of classes 1 to 5 classes and paper 2 will be conducted for 6 to 8th class teachers. Those who are willing to attend both they have to write the both exam of PSTET I and PSTET II. There are so many teacher vacancies available in the primary and elementary schools of SCERT Punjab. Candidates may submit their applications for teacher jobs online through the official website of PSTET @ http://www.pseb.ac.in/pstet on or before 06-12-2025. PSTET Exam 2026–Available Vacancies for Punjab Teachers Eligibility Test

Currently available vacancies are not at disclosed. For that another notification will be release based vacancies. Punjab SCERT has been invited applications for teachers posts to attending the PSTET -2025 Exam for filling the available teachers vacancies in Punjab primary and elementary schools. Eligibility conditions having candidates apply online from the dates 25-11-2025 to 06-12-2025.

PSTET Exam-2025 Age Limits:

As on 01-01-2025 the candidate upper age limit is 45 years. Please verify the age at the time of online exam application.

Educational Qualification for Punjab Teacher Eligibility Test-2025:

For PSTET (Class 1 to 5 teachers) 10+2 with 4 years diploma in Bachelor of Education or 2 ear diploma in elementary education recognized by NCTE or 2 years diploma in Special Education or graduation with 2 years diploma in Elementary Education.

For PSTET (Class 6 to 8 teachers)

Graduation with 2 years Elementary Education or one year bachelor education (B.Ed) or 1 year Special B.Ed. or 10+2 with 4 years diploma in Elementary education or 4 year B.A.Ed  or BSc.Ed

Punjab TET Exam Application Fee:

For one paper general and BC candidates-900/-

SC/ST-600/-

For Both the papers

General and BC Candidates-1800/-

SC/ST-1200/-

The candidates have to pay the exam fee through the Axis Bank chalana or Using Debit/Credit card or using Net Banking.

PUNJAB Teachers Recruitment Exam PSTET 2026 Exam Pattern and Syllabus:

Paper 1 Primary Stage Exam Pattern for PSTET Exam 2026:

First Paper (For Classes I to V) Primary stage exam will be conducted for 150 Marks with 2.30 hours duration.

 Structure and content (All Compulsory)

1. Child Development and Pedagogy 30 MCQ’s 30 marks

2. Language -1 30 MCQ’s 30 marks

3. Language -2 30 MCQ’s 30 marks

4. Maths 30 MCQ’s 30 marks

5. Environmental Education 30 MCQ’s 30 marks

Total – 150 multiple choice questions 150 marks

Paper 2 Elementary Stage Exam Pattern for PSTET Exam 2026:

First Paper (For Classes VI to VIII) Primary stage exam will be conducted for 150 Marks with 2.30 hours duration.

1. Child Development and Pedagogy (Compulsory) MCQ’s 30 marks

2. Language -1 30 MCQ’s 30 marks

3. Language -2 30 MCQ’s 30 marks

4. Maths and Science (For all Maths and Science Teachers) OR Social Science (For all Social Science Teachers)- 60 MCQ’s- 60 Marks
