The selection process for PUNJAB Police SI Recruitment will be held in four stages. First stage is a Physical Measurements test followed by Physical tests, OMR based written test and Personal Interview.

Educational Qualification for Police Sub Inspector Punjab Recruitment 2026:
B.E/B. Tech in Computers or Electronics & Communications or IT or Software Engineering from a recognized university or institute.
or Bachelor of Computer application(BCA)
or Graduation in any other stream with A Level computer course or NIELIT or PG in Computer Science or Computer Applications.
Age limits for Punjab Police Recruitment of Sub Inspector Jobs:
As on 01-01-2025 for Male and Female candidates age limits for Punjab Police Sub Inspector is 18 years minimum and 28 years maximum. For SC/ST and BC candidates 5 years of age relaxation given and for Ex-Serviceman 3 years of age relaxation is given.
Application Fee for Police Sub Inspector Recruitment Notification 2026:
For general candidates exam fees is Rs.400/- and for SC/ST and BC candidates exam fees is Rs 100/-.
There is no exam fee for Ex-Serviceman. The candidates have to pay the exam fee through online using Debit or credit card or using net banking and for offline payment candidates may download the chalana form of HDFC Bank and pay the same in any one for the HDFC branch or Police Saanjh Kendras.
Selection Process for PUNJAB Police Male and Female Sub Inspector Recruitment 2026:
1. Physical Measurements Test
2. Physical Screening Test(Before this Medical Test/Drug Test/Dope Test will be conducted)
3. OMR Based Objective type written test.
3. Personal Interview.
PMT and PST both the test will be conducted in a same day.

Height Female: 5’1”

For ex serviceman 800 mtrs walk to be completed in 6 minutes.
Those who are qualified for Preliminary Test and Physical test they are only eligible for the OMR Based written test and Personal Interview. Final merit test will be prepared based on merit in qualifying exam marks, Height benefits and Merit in Physical Efficiency Test.
Written Exam Pattern for Punjab SI Recruitment 2026:
Written test will be conducted for 100 marks. Question paper will be in English medium only and having multiple choice questions.
Written exam consists of 3 parts.
Part 1-General Knoledge-25 Marks
Part 2-QT, Logical Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude & Reading Comprehension
Part 3:
Computer Software-20 Marks
