Qualifications for NTRO
Scientist Jobs 2026:
Those
who are qualified B.E/B.Tech in Geo
Informatics and Remote Sensing or Computer Science or Electronics and
Communications Engineering or its equivalent qualification with GATE 2026 or
2025 or 2026score is eligible to apply online.
Age limits:
Upper
age limit is 30 years. For SC/ST candidates upper age limit is 35 years and for
OBC candidates 33 years.
Application Fee:
For
Gen/OBC/EWS candidates application fee is Rs.250/- and no fee for Sc/ST/Female
candidates.

Selection Process:
Based
on GATE marks candidates will be shortlisted for Computer Based Tests.
Eligible registered candidates will be shortlisted based on valid GATE Score of respective subject/field. The
ratio for shortlisting will be 1:25 (i,e 25 candidates for every vacancy), subject to availability of sufficient
number of eligible registered candidates till the ratio of 1:25 is attained.
Exam
will be conducted for 200 Marks.
Exam Pattern and

Scientist B Exam will be conducted for 200 marks.
Computer
based Test will consist of 100 questions and each question carries 2 marks.
Exam
duration is 120 minutes.
Exam
paper will be given in English language only.
There
is 0.5 negative mark for each wrong answer.
