CSIR UGC NET Dec 2026 Examination for Eligibility of Assistant Professors and Junior Research Fellowship:
The candidates who are qualified for the Junior Research Fellowship they are also eligible for Lectureship. JRF’s will be selected for IITs, Institutions, Universities and other nation educational organizations. Depends upon the performance in all the three papers of NET Exam JRF and Assistant Professors Eligibility will be considered for both or only Lectureship. The candidates who are qualified for Lectureship will not be considered for Junior Research Fellowship. After result there are two separate merit lists will be given for JRF and Lectureship.

Education qualifications to attend the CSIR UGC NET Exam 2026:
Candidate must have qualified M.Sc Degree or Integrated BS-MS/B.E/B.Tech/BPharma/MBBS with at least 55% of marks.
Age limits for CSIR UGC Net Exam 2026:
Upper age limits for JRF NET is 28 years and 5 years relaxation is given for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
For Lecturers/Assistant Professors NET there is no upper age limit.
Exam Pattern for CSIR UGC NET Test 2026:
National Eligibility Test consists of 3 papers which are conducted on same day for 200 marks with 3 hours duration.
PART A consists of General Aptitude with emphasis on logical reasoning, analytical and numerical ability, graphical analysis, series formation, quantitative comparison, puzzles etc. Total 20 questions will be given only 15 questions will be considered in this section for 30 marks
PART B consists of syllabus related to the subject 40 questions will be given 35 questions only considered for 70 marks.
PART C contains higher value questions to test the candidate’s scientific knowledge and questions will be in analytical nature. 60 Questions will be given this section candidates have to answer any 25 questions
