Group-2 Jobs Update: The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission
(APPSC) has announced its plans to issue separate notifications for the
recruitment of 1,603 government posts in various departments by the end of this
month. Among these, 88 posts will be filled under Group-I, and 989 posts will
be filled under Group-II. Additionally, some carry-forward category posts that
were previously vacant despite issuing notifications will also be included in
Group-I.
Paper evaluation for APPSC Group-1 Vacancy is going to change
The commission is actively working on revamping the
examination and evaluation process for Group-I. To achieve this, discussions
have been held with prestigious institutions such as IIT, HCU, recruiting
agencies, renowned professors from Andhra, Nagarjuna, Sri Venkateswara, and
Padmavathi women’s universities, experts from other public service commissions,
and unemployed individuals. Their valuable input will be utilized to make
significant changes to the syllabus and examination patterns.

Furthermore, the notifications for the recruitment of
lecturers in degree and junior colleges, along with Group-I and Group-II
positions, will be released within this month. A written examination for the
recruitment of assistant professor posts is scheduled for December.

In addition to the Group-I and Group-II positions, the
notifications will also cover various other posts, including 267 faculty
positions in degree colleges, 99 positions in polytechnic colleges, 47
positions in junior colleges, 38 deputy educational officer positions, 10
English reporters in AP Legislative Service, 23 librarians in college education,
10 junior lecturers, 5 degree college lecturers under APREI Society, and 10
junior lecturers, 5 degree college lecturer in other posts. Furthermore,
notifications will be issued for the recruitment of AP town, and country
planning, and AP municipal accounts sub-services junior account officer
category-II, senior accountant category-3, and junior accountant category-4 in
underground irrigation department, district sainik welfare service, tribal
welfare services by APPSC in the month of November 2026.
