APDSC Latest Update 2025 2260 Special Education Teacher Recruitment 

The Andhra Pradesh Government has taken a significant step towards inclusive education by sanctioning 2,260 new Special Education Teacher posts. These newly sanctioned posts aim to provide quality education to children with Autism, Specific Learning Disabilities, and Mental Disabilities across the state.

APDSC special education teacher Vacancy Details:

• Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT) – 1,136 Posts

• School Assistants (SA) – 1,124 Posts

The government has recommended filling these posts through the AP DSC Recruitment 2024. These posts have been allocated district-wise based on the need and existing vacancies.

District-wise Highlights:

• School Assistant (Special Education):

  • Maximum posts in East Godavari

  • Minimum posts in Nellore

• SGT (Special Education):

  • More posts in Guntur (Joint District)

  • Fewer posts in Vizianagaram

Total Requirements and Sanctions:

Previously, the requirement for Special Education School Assistant posts stood at 1,984. Out of these, 860 posts were already sanctioned. With the recent addition of 1,124 posts, the full requirement is now being addressed.

For the first time, 1,136 Special Education SGT posts have been sanctioned for Primary Schools, creating a significant opportunity to strengthen foundational education for children with special needs.

Structural Changes:

To accommodate these new posts, the existing surplus posts of SGTs and School Assistants have been merged and reorganized effectively.

This decision is expected to transform the learning environment for thousands of special needs children across Andhra Pradesh by deploying professionally trained special educators.
