CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme 2024 to encourage the education of talented girls who are the only children of their parents. This merit-based scholarship provides financial assistance to deserving students to support their academic journey.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates must meet the following requirements:

1. Education:

   • Must have passed the CBSE Class 10 exams with a minimum of 70% marks.
   • Currently studying in Class 11 or Class 12 in a CBSE-affiliated school.

2. Parental Status:

   • The applicant must be the only child of their parents.

3. Tuition Fee:

   • The tuition fee in Class 10 should not exceed ₹2,500 per month.
   • The tuition fee for Classes 11 and 12 should not exceed ₹3,000 per month for general students.
   • For NRI students, the tuition fee should not exceed ₹6,000 per month.

4. Parent’s Income:

   • The annual income of the parents should be less than ₹8 lakhs.

Scholarship Benefits

• Monthly Allowance:
  Selected students will receive ₹1,000 per month for a period of two years.
• Direct Deposit:
  The scholarship amount will be deposited directly into the student’s bank account.

Renewal Process

• Students who are already availing of the scholarship in Class 11 must renew it for Class 12.
• For renewal, a minimum score of 70% marks in Class 11 is mandatory.

Application Process

• Last Date:
  Eligible candidates can apply online until December 23, 2024.
• Verification by Schools:
  The respective schools must verify the applications by December 24, 2024.
