PSSSB Jail Warder Jobs 2024: Punjab Police Jails Department is inviting online applications from Indian citizens for the direct recruitment of Lady Matrons (Female) and Jail Warders (Male). PSSSB Punjab Police Jail Warder Important Dates:

• Opening Date to Submit Online Application Forms: 10th May 2024, from 9:00 AM
• Last Date for Submission of Online Application Forms: 20th August 2024, up to 11:59 PM
• Closing Date for Payment of Application Fee: 23rd August 2024

PSSSB Jail Warder Vacancy Details:

• Jail Warders (Male): 175 Posts
• Lady Matrons (Female): 4 Posts

Eligibility Criteria for Punjab Jail Warders and Matrons:

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 12th grade or an equivalent qualification from a recognized Board/University. Additionally, they must have passed matriculation with Punjabi as one of the elective subjects.
• Age Limit: As of 1st January 2024, the minimum age is 18 years, and the maximum age is 27 years. A relaxation of 5 years is available for SC, ST, and OBC candidates.

Pay Scale for Punjab Police Jail Warders and Lady Matrons:

• The selected candidates will receive a salary of Rs. 10,300/- to Rs. 34,800/- per month along with a grade pay of Rs. 3,200/-.

Selection Process for Punjab Police Jail Warders Recruitment 2024:

Candidates will be selected based on physical tests and written exam:

1. Physical Measurement Test (PMT):
   Candidates must meet the following physical standards:
• Jail Warders (Male):
• Minimum Height: 5 feet 7 inches
• Chest: 33 inches (Unexpanded), 34.5 inches (Expanded)
• Dogras/Gurkhas (Male):
• Minimum Height: 5 feet 4.5 inches
• Chest: 33 inches (Unexpanded), 34.5 inches (Expanded)
• Lady Matrons (Female):
• Minimum Height: 5 feet 3 inches
• Weight: 50 Kg and above
2. Physical Screening Test (PST):
   Candidates will be evaluated through the following physical tests:
• Male:
• 100 meters race to be completed in 15 seconds
• Shotput (7.26 Kgs) - 5.50 meters (3 chances)
• Rope Climbing - 15 feet (3 chances)
• Ex-Servicemen (Male):
• 100 meters race to be completed in 17.5 seconds
• Shotput (7.26 Kgs) - 5.00 meters (3 chances)
• Rope Climbing - 12 feet (3 chances)
• Female:
• 100 meters race to be completed in 18.5 seconds
• Shotput (5.443 Kgs) - 4.00 meters (3 chances)
• Rope Climbing - 12 feet (3 chances)
• Ex-Servicewomen:
• 100 meters race to be completed in 20 seconds
• Shotput (5.443 Kgs) - 3.50 meters (3 chances)
• Rope Climbing - 12 feet (3 chances)

PSSSB Jail Warder Application Fee:

• General Category: Rs. 1000/-
• SC/ST/BC: Rs. 250/-
• Ex-Servicemen: Rs. 200/-
