New Guidelines and Initiatives-No Party Logos or Colors in Books
In a significant move, Minister Nara Lokesh emphasized the removal of political symbols from educational materials, including the exclusion of photos and party colors from training materials provided to teachers and students. The government has also greenlit the recruitment of teaching and non-teaching staff in Kasturba Gandhi Girls' Vidyalayas (KGBVs). Procedures for this recruitment process are to be finalized soon, addressing staffing shortages and improving the quality of education in these institutions.
Focus on Basic Skills and Weekly Revisions-Daily training in Arithmetic:
To enhance foundational skills, the first period of each day will focus on reading, writing, and arithmetic for grades 3-7. Furthermore, all classes will have weekly revision periods, ensuring students retain and understand their lessons thoroughly.
Exclusion of Specific Lessons-Rangasthalam, Harivillu excluded from Class 9
Notably, the academic calendar specifies that certain lessons, including "Harivillu," "Rangasthalam," "Kalluri Tulsamma," and "Dwarbandala Chandraya," will not be included in the ninth-grade syllabus.
