YSRHU Admission Notification 2024: Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the Diploma in Horticulture and Diploma in Horticultural Food Processing for the academic year 2024-25. Candidates who have passed SSC or any equivalent examination recognized by the Board of Secondary Education are eligible to apply. Dr YSRHU Horticulture Diploma Important Dates:
- Commencement of Online Registration: 25-05-2024
- Last Date for Online Registration: 18-06-2024
- First Phase of Online Counseling: Will be announced on the University website.
- Second Phase of Online Counseling: Will be announced on the University website.
- Mop-up Manual Counseling: Will be announced on the University website.
Eligibility for Dr YSRHU Horticulture Diploma Courses:
- Candidates must have passed SSC or equivalent.
- Candidates who appeared for SSC or equivalent exams in March/April 2024, whose results are pending, can also apply.
- Age limit: Minimum 15 years and maximum 22 years as of 31-08-2024 (Born between 31-08-2002 and 31-08-2009).
Courses Offered:
- Diploma in Horticulture: 2 years (4 semesters), total seats - 480.
- Diploma in Horticultural Food Processing: 2 years (4 semesters), total seats - 20.
Reservation of Seats:
- 75% of seats are reserved for candidates from rural areas (Non-Municipal) and 25% for candidates from Municipal areas.
- Category-wise reservations: OC - 50%, BC-A - 7%, BC-B - 10%, BC-C - 1%, BC-D - 7%, BC-E - 4%, SC - 15%, ST - 6%.
- 5% reservation for Physically Handicapped (PH), 2% for Children of Armed Personnel (CAP), 1% for NCC, and 0.5% for Sports.
Application and Counseling Fee:
- SC/ST/PH: Rs. 400/-
- Others: Rs. 800/-
Fee Structure:
- Government Polytechnics: Rs. 10,148/- (I Semester), Rs. 6,785/- (II Semester)
- Affiliated Polytechnics: Rs. 39,683/- (I Semester), Rs. 24,175/- (II Semester)
Hostel Facilities:
- Available on a payment basis, subject to availability.
