ANGRAU Agriculture Diploma Course Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification:

   • Candidates must have passed the SSC (10th Standard) Examination from the Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana, or any equivalent examination recognized by the Board.
   • Candidates appearing for SSC or equivalent examinations in March/May 2024 can also apply.
   • Candidates who have passed SSC through compartmental and those who discontinued or failed in Intermediate are also eligible.
   • Candidates pursuing or having passed Intermediate or higher education are not eligible.

2. Age Limit:

   • Candidates must be at least 15 years old and not older than 22 years as of August 31, 2024 (born between August 31, 2002, and August 31, 2009).

ANGRAU Polytechnic Diploma Course Admission Selection Process

• Admission is based on the percentage of marks obtained in the SSC or equivalent examination.
• In case of a tie, preference will be given to marks obtained in Science, followed by Mathematics, and then Social Studies.
• If the tie persists, the older candidate will be given preference.

Reservation of Seats

1. Rural Area Reservation:

   • 75% of seats are reserved for candidates who have studied for a minimum of 4 years in schools located in Non-Municipal areas (Rural).

2. Reservation Categories:

   • Open Category: 50%
   • BC-A: 7%, BC-B: 10%, BC-C: 1%, BC-D: 7%, BC-E: 4%
   • SC: 15%
   • ST: 6%
   • EWS: 10% supernumerary seats
   • NCC: 1%
   • Sports: 0.5%
   • Physically Handicapped: 5%
   • Children of Armed Personnel: 2%

3. Special Categories:

   • Separate guidelines and priority criteria will be applicable as per government orders.

4. Girl Students:

   • 33.33% of seats are reserved for girl students in all categories.
