It is known that on April 5, the Telangana Gurukula Recruitment Board has released a notification for filling up 9,210 posts under SC, ST, BC, Minority Welfare Gurukula Societies and General Gurukula Societies in the state. Applications are accepted online from April 14 to May 27. A total of 2,63,045 applications were received for the posts of Degree, Junior Lecturers, PGT, TGT, Art, Craft, Music Teachers, Librarians and Physical Directors. There has been criticism for not extending the deadline despite the technical difficulties faced by the candidates during the online application. Some paid examination fees but could not apply.
The board initially thought of conducting OMR-style written tests for the appointment of gurus. However, it has recently decided that CBRT is the best way to conduct tests and reveal results quickly. It is known that after the leakage of TSPSC question papers in the state, the Commission has also decided to conduct the examinations under the CBRT system.
The Gurukula Board has taken care of these examinations without any difficulty with the dates of other recruitment examinations. After consulting the officials of TSPSC, Police Recruitment Board and Medical Recruitment Board, it has finalized the dates from August 1 to 23. The slot has been booked to conduct the examinations under CBRT system on those dates. These exams will be conducted in all the districts that have the necessary infrastructure for computer based exams. The results will be announced by October and arrangements are being made to complete the appointments and start teaching within this academic year.
