Stenographer (Schedule- A – Finance Department): 32 posts.
Stenographer (Schedule- B- Consumer Affairs Department): 10 posts.
Educational Qualifications for Stenographer Vacancy of WBSSC Recruitment 2017:
Candidate must pass Madhyamik Examination or its equivalent from recognized board of Secondary Education and Knowledge in Computer Literacy.
Ability to read, write and speak Bengali language (Except for candidates mother tongue is Nepali).
Age limits for Finance & Consumer Affairs Dept Stenographer posts in WBSSC Recruitment 2017:
Candidate upper age is 32 years and lower age 18 years as on 1st January 2016.
Five years of age relaxation will be given for SC/ ST candidates of West Bengal and 3 years for BC-A/ BC-B candidates.
Benefit of Age relaxation applicable as per existing Government rules.
Pay Scale West Bengal Staff Selection Commission Stenographer Recruitment- 2017:
Pay scale for Stenographer posts is Rs.7100/- to 37600/- + GP Rs. 3600/-.
Examination fee/ Processing fee for Stenographer posts in WBSSC Recruitment 2017:
Examination fee/ Processing fee for all category candidates except Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe is Rs.220/-.
For Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe candidates need not to pay Examination fee and Processing fee is Rs.20/-.
Selection Process/ Scheme of Examination for Stenographer vacancies:
West Bengal Commission will conduct examination to select candidates for Stenographer posts.
Examination will comprise of 3 papers.
Paper- I: General English for 100 marks.
Paper- II:Dictation and Transcription for 400 marks.
Paper- III:Computer typing for 100 marks.
