Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2016: Human Resource Development (HRDD) Department, Sikkim will conduct STET for a person to be eligible for Recruitment as Primary Teacher for 1 to 5 classes, Elementary Graduate Teacher for classes 6 to 8th. Sikkim TET (STET) Recruitment Important Dates:

Availability of Application forms for Sikkim TET Recruitment	20th December, 2016
Completed Application forms must be submitted to given Address from the date of	04th January, 2017
Closing date to send Completed Application forms for STET	25th January, 2017 up to 2.30 PM
Issue of Admit cards for Sikkim TET Recruitment is from	10th February, 2017 to 16th February, 2017
Sikkim TET will be conducted on	19th February, 2017 (Sunday). Timings are 10.00 AM to 12.30 PM for Graduate Teacher Jobs, 1.30 PM to 4.00 PM for Primary Teacher Jobs.

Qualification for Recruitment of Sikkim TET (STET):

1. For Primary Teacher (1 to 5 classes) Jobs, Qualification must be senior secondary and passed 2 years diploma in elementary Education (D.EI.Ed.) OR senior secondary and passed 4 years bachelor of elementary Education (B.EI.Ed) OR senior secondary with 2 years diploma in Education.

2. For Graduate Teacher (classes 6 to 8th) Jobs, Qualification must be B.A./B.Sc. and passed 2 years diploma in elementary Education (D.EI.Ed.) OR B.A./B.Sc. and passed 1/2 year bachelor of Education (B.Ed).

Sikkim TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) Selection Process:

It will be Through STET. STET will be held at least twice per a year. Candidate who score >=60% in STET will be considered pass. 5% relaxation is there for SC, ST, central and state OBC aspirants.

Sikkim TET (STET) Graduate Teacher, Primary Teacher Exam Pattern and Syllabus:

STET will be of objective type. There is no negative marking. Total Questions in STET are 150. All are compulsory. STET Time duration is two and half hours.
