OPSC Forest Ranger Examination 2016: Orissa Public Service Commission has been released notification for special recruitment of Schedule Tribe and Schedule Caste for the Forest Ranger Group B available vacancies of 77 posts in Orissa Forest Service under the Forest and Environmental

For the candidates Schedule Tribe who are having B. Scdegree in Forestry for them 29 posts are reserved. Out of 29 posts 10 are reserved for the women candidates. And other 28 posts are reserved for the Bachelors degree candidates of other than forestry. In which 9 posts are reserved for women.

For the candidates Schedule Caster who are having B. Scdegree in Forestry for them 20 posts are reserved. Out of 209 posts 06 are reserved for the women candidates. And other 10 posts are reserved for the Bachelors degree candidates of other than forestry. In which 3 posts are reserved for women.

 Essential Qualifications for OPSC Forest Ranger Recruitment 2016:

The candidate must have qualified degree in any one of the Science Subject as main subject. Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Geology, Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry and Forestry are any one of the subject.

Physical Efficiency Test for Forest Ranger:

Height for men 163 cms, for women 150 cms minimum.

Chest for men 84 cms on expandable 89 cms.

Chest for women 79 cms after breath must have 84 cms. (Unfortunately it is asked by OPSC this time)

Male candidates have to clear the 25 kms walk in 4 hours

Female candidates have to clear 16 kms in 4 hours.

Pay Scale for ODISHA Forest Ranger Recruitment 2016: 

Pay band is Rs. 9300/- to-34800/- +GP Rs.4600/-
