IPL Schedule 2020: The BCCI has finally released the schedule for the 13th season of the much-awaited Dream 11 IPL. Despite all the obstacles to the mega tournament from Sunday, the executive board stood firm. This put an end to the long-awaited suspense. Continuing the tradition of the year, it also plans to start the season with the finalists last year. This closed the door to doubts among the fans. The first match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings will be played in Abu Dhabi on September 19. The IPL opening ceremony will start at 3:30 pm Indian time. The match starts at 7.30pm.
The season was originally scheduled to start on March 29 in Mumbai, but then the corona cases in India were in their infancy. At the same time the tournament was postponed indefinitely due to the imposition of a lockdown. Provokes suspicions that will it be held this year in this context? Or not?. However, with the postponement of the T20 World Cup in Australia in October, the BCCI has decided to use that time for the IPL. It was in this context that the UAE was consulted and all arrangements made. Two weeks ago, all the franchises arrived in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. On the other hand, there were doubts about the management of the tournament again when the Chennai Super Kings players fell victim to the corona. That team extended the quarantine deadline. With this, doubts were expressed as to whether Chennai would play in the first match or not. It is noteworthy that after all these obstacles, the BCCI released the schedule today.
The list now includes 24 matches in Dubai, 20 matches in Abu Dhabi and 12 matches in Sharjah. On days with two matches, the first match will be played at 3:30 pm and the other at 7:30 pm. On the other hand, the BCCI has revealed that the venues for the playoffs will be announced soon.
