The most easily scored section (after English, of course) in bank exams is the reasoning section. With a bit of effort, this section can be easily cleared and with a decent score too. Here we are providing some easy and important tips to gain more marks in Reasoning Section.
How to Score easily in Reasoning for All Competitive Exams?
Many candidates still toil over in this section. So, it is very important for an aspirant to devise a proper strategy to deal with the reasoning questions. Here some tricks are provided to help the candidates toughen up for this section.
1. Know the priorities.
Firstly, it is very important to know that the topics in the reasoning section can be categorized into two types i.e. the less time-consuming and the more time consuming questions.
The former set of questions include the questions from syllogism, directions, inequalities etc. while the latter includes puzzles, seating arrangement, input output etc.
Now, the less time-consuming questions should be given more priority and should be solved first.
2. Drop the ego.
The reasoning section generally contains 18-20 easy set of questions. So it is really not very important to attempt every question before even touching the other sections. Accuracy is the key and not the number of attempted questions.
3. Attempt strong topics first.
Though it is suggested that easy questions be attempted first, still if some candidates are really confident with a particular topic, they can attempt those topics related questions first.
4. Avoid experimental approach.
It is obvious that candidates develop new tricks to solve some particular questions. Though this is really good but it is suggested that these experimental approaches should be avoided during the exam unless one is perfectly sure about it.
5. Develop personal thinking styles.
Not everyone feels comfortable with the thinking strategy discussed by their personal teachers or in coaching institutes. For example, while solving blood relation questions, some follow a flowchart while some feel it is easy to relate the question to their own families. Thus it is very important that candidates develop their own personalized strategies to solve different questions.
6. Practice various sample papers and previous year papers.
Practicing various sample papers not only builds confidence but also gives an overview of the types of questions asked and by solving previous year questions, candidates can easily get to know the level of questions asked in the exam.
These tricks are sure to help candidates clear the cut-off in reasoning with good scores in IBPS exam. The candidates should always be motivated and with assiduity, success is sure to follow.
